Dr.
Wallack received his veterinary degree for the University of California,
Davis. He then completed his small animal internship in general
medicine and surgery at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital in San
Diego. He completed a 4 year radiology residency at UC Davis and
is currently on staff there. Dr. Wallack is board certified in radiology
and has special interests in MRI, small animal ultrasound and exotic
animal radiography. He has published scientific articles and book
chapters, and has lectured on topics including MRI, ultrasound,
and radiography in both regional and national meetings. His recent
publications include MR estimation of intramedullary osteosarcoma
extent, normal pituitary size in cats based on MR imaging and ultrasonographic
findings associated with bowel infarction. While at UC Davis, Dr.
Wallack actively participated in training of pre clinical and fourth
year veterinary students.
Matt Wright, DVM

Board Certified Specialist in Veterinary Radiology
Dr.Wright received his degree in veterinary medicine from the VA-MD Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. After a one year internship at the Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital in Snohomish, WA, he completed a residency and received his masters degree in radiology at Auburn University. Before coming to VICSD, Dr. Wright was the staff radiologist at the Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in Boston, MA. Dr. Wright specializes in ultrasound and digital imaging. He has also published scientific articles and lectured on topics such as geriatric radiology, portosystemic shunt imaging, DICOM, and digital radiography purchasing decisions for veterinarians. Recently, Dr. Wright published at book titled A Practical Guide to CT for Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians. Dr. Wright is also the chair of the ACVR Digital Imaging Standards Committee, secretary of the DICOM working group for veterinary medicine, and maintains a website about veterinary digital radiography at Animal Insides.
Dr McCort received her degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following her internship she stayed at Auburn and completed a 3 year residency program in radiology. Dr. McCort is board certified in radiology and has special interests in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT). She has lectured on topics such as diagnostic imaging of portosystemic shunt, feline lung patterns, thoracic CT and cardiac MRI.

William A. Ladd, MD Consulting Radiologist
Dr. Ladd is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology. He received his training at the Massachusetts General Hospital and holds a masters degree in nuclear physics from MIT. Dr. Ladd specializes in Diagnostic Radiology,Neuroradiology, and Nuclear Medicine. Currently, Dr. Ladd is apartner and former president of the La Jolla Radiology Medical Group as well as a Voluntary Associate Clinical Professor of Radiology at the UCSD School of Medicine here in San Diego. Previously, Dr. Ladd was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio and at the UCSD School of Medicine. While at the Wilford Hall USAF medical center in San Antonio, TX, he was the Section Chief for chest and mammography. In 2005 and 2007 Dr. Ladd was one of the doctors who received the San Diego County Medical Society Top Doctor Award.
MarK Kanchuck, DVM
Dr. Mark Kanchuck received his veterinary degree from The Univeristy of California at Davis College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Kanchuck then completed a rotating internship in medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine at the Pet Emergency and Speciality Center in San Diego. Dr. Kanchuck is completing an internship in diagnostic imaging at VICSD. Dr. Kanchuck has a special interest in diagnstic imaging and feline hyperthyroidism and plans to complete a residency in veterinary radiology.
ANgela Skidmore Veterinary Technician
Angela Skidmore is our Client Services Coordinator. She is also a veterinary technician with over 10 years of experience in the field. She acquired her extensive training in nuclear medicine and diagnostic imaging while working at Animal Imaging and Treatment Center in Vista, CA and at Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego. Aside from her customer service responsibilities, Angela assists in the coordination and admission of patients entering the Radioiodine therapy program.
Deon Spencer, RVT Veterinary Technician
Deon Spencer is our primary imaging technician, Deon is responsible for performing many of the advanced imaging studies at VICSD, including MRI, CT and Nuclear Medicine. She has over 10 years experience in veterinary medicine with extensive training in Emergency and Critical Care Services. Aside from her imaging duties, Deon assists in the daily care of our Hyperthyroid patients
Brandy Aguilar Veterinary Technician
Brandy has been a Veterinary Technician since 1998. She has always had a passion for animals and medicine increasing her skills and knowledge in Veterinary medicine, including emergency critical care, oncology and internal medicine. Brandy has worked closely with research studies including Diabetes mellitus in cats and Inflammatory Bowel disease in dog and Brandy volunteers her spare time with various animal organizations. At VICSD, Brandy assists with all the imaging studies and daily care of our Hyperthyroid patients.
Carrie WeHRSPANN Client Services
Carrie has over 5 years experience in ClientServices in the Veterinary field. She adds her special touch to each client experience here at VICSD.
Kyle Richards Veterinary Assistant
Kyle Richards Is a Vet. Assistant with 3 years of veterinary experience assisting with general medicine procedures and emergency cases. Kyle now offers support at VICSD with advanced imaging and hyperthyroid cases. Kyle also leads our pet transport service whihc facilitates bringing owners pets to the VICSD for imaging procedures.
